Blue Rayskin Custom Katana with Gold Wolf Tsuba

A one-of-a-kind commission, forged to one collector's vision. This full-tang, battle-ready custom katana sets an SX105V tool-steel blade in shinogi-zukuri geometry against a deep blue rayskin handle, a black-lacquered saya, and a gold wolf-themed koshirae — a sword its owner calls "a natural extension of my arm."

Like every commission, it was hand-forged to order in our own workshop: the customer chose the steel, the blue, and the wolf fittings, saw photos at each stage, and signed off before it shipped. No two are ever identical — this is what working with us looks like.

The blade collar (habaki) is engraved with 浪人 (rōnin) — the masterless, wandering samurai — a fitting companion to the lone-wolf tsuba.
